Shri Maan Bihari Lal in Service of Braj for Past 60 Years.....

Maan Mandir is known for the "Maan Leela" of Shri Shri Radha Krsna. A place where Shri Radha Rani performed Pranaya Maan, which is done to increase love, and Shri Krishna came to pacify her. Shri Radha Rani often does Pranaya Maan whenever she senses that Shri Krishna wants to touch Her lotus feet. Sixty years ago Maan Mandir was a deserted, barren temple being used by dacoits for dangerous activities. It was home to many ghosts, snakes, and sometimes wild animals. Once Shri Ramesh Baba Ji Maharaj, lovingly called by Babashri, decided that he would reside there, it slowly started taking on a different image. With the continuous kirtan and satsang which has been taking place there since Babashri's arrival, the temple has been restored, and now become a beautiful, auspicious, peaceful place to be. Located on one of the highest hills in Varsana, it takes climbing 260 steps to reach Maan Mandir. Surrounded by awesome views of farmland, Shriji Mandir, a huge goshala, the villages of Maanpur, and Chiksoli, Maan Mandir is a definite spiritual temple to visit. The beautiful Shri Radha Maan Bihari Lal resides in the temple. Babashri along with many other sadhu's and devotees reside their as well. When one visits Maan Mandir, they will instantly feel as spiritual connections, as your surroundings immediately entice your sense of sound with kirtan, and site, with the glorious views, and deity darshan.

Maan Mandir, is not an ordinary temple, it also is the heart of the "Save And Serve Braj" movement. Many activities in the restoration of Braj begin in Maan Mandir. These activities include:

First example of the Restoration of Braj Hills. The hill from Maan Mandir down to Gahvarvan, known as Brahmachal Parvat, was restored a few years back. Babashri instructed devotees to plant trees and grass. Today, the hill is one of very few lush hills in Braj. It remains green and lush throughout the year.

Home to the Largest Goshala in Braj - Shri Mataji Goshala. With 10,000 cows currently, and more arriving everyday. The goshala houses cows which are neglected, sick, and abandoned.

The starting point for Radha Rani Braj Yatra. A yatra which is free of cost and covers 250 kms of Braj, also well known as Braj 84 Kos. The yatra was started many years ago by Babshri, with only a few devotees, today, over 15,000 yatris from all over the country, and different parts of the world attend. For 4o days Babashri leads a foot yatra through many leela sthalis of Braj. He often helps rediscover leela places that have been forgotten over the years. The yatra is a 24 hour spiritual camp, with kirtan, dancing and loads of fun.

Maan Mandir is starting point for Phrabat Feris all Over Braj. Over the years Babashri has encouraged devotees all over Braj to conduct daily prabhat feris in all of the villages of Braj. The feris have grown each year, and today over 8000 villages participate in kirtan feris. On a daily basis devotees in the village, walk around the village chanting the name of the Lord. Megaphones, and dholaks are provided free through Maan Mandir for the villages who want to participate.

Maan Mandir is a central location for Continuous Satsang for over 60 years. Whether it is daily satsang by Babshri which occurs at least three times a day, Ekadashi lectures, or festival kirtans for Rangli Holi, Radhaashtami, and many others, it is the spot where local Brajbasis and people from all over the world come to satisfy their spiritual cravings.

Maan Mandir is the Hub of the restoration projects in Braj. The projects which include, halting the mining of Braj hills, restoration of lost, deserted kunds and stepwells, or the cleaning of Shri Yamuaji, all of these projects have one point in common-they began in Maan Mandir, through the spiritual vision of Babashri.

Green Braj - Tree Plantation

Mining of Braj Hills has brutally defaced the mountain land structure. Wildlife and vegitation has gradually reduced to almost nothing. Once used to be the only source of pasture land for the cows of braj, the mountains of braj are now not more than a bad looking rocky structure because of uncontrolled illegal mining. Loss of the grazing land for the cows is the primary reason why brajwasis do not want to keep cows. They are left with no option but to sell their live stock. This explains why we have slauter house in the very heart of Mathura, the birth place of Shri Krishna.
