On the 1st was the Rangili Holi drama, since early morning there was an intense final preparation before the actual play. FromShri Babaji Maharaja, the managers, stage directors, to the talented cast personnel a great concentration was there to make this a unique offering to their observing Lordships. So many personalities have come together, each with a talented contribution by the Grace of Shri Ji. From arrangements in cleaning, setting stage props, acting advice, sound, lighting, and make up, to prasadam, preparations were complete to host a full house audience of Brajavasis from through out Braja, who have come to initiate their Holi experience.
What a kick off to 16 days of colorful festivity throughout Braja. Many scenes from the worship of Ganeshji to the darshan of Laxmi Narayana, the Holi advances of Kanai to Sri Radha and His subsequent defeat and arrest. The pictographic dancing and billowing dye cloud colors, was followed by the declaration by Nanda Baba and Vrisabhanu of Rangili Holi.
Such gaiety in the air, incarnations, demigods, gopis and gopas, fully clad in the original cultural ornaments, make up, and dress, were experiencing the original rasas of Braja. One could only appreciate a ‘presence’ and ‘enactment’ of lila by the Lords Themselves, entering into Their simple submissive servitors, the actors were not performing alone on that stage.
Lord Brahma and Indra acted in ways to just put a smile on the faces of the original Brajavasis, to just get some blessings, and from this what transpired was greatest height of punya. Following this mood the devotees from Maan Mandirhave made a put smiles on the faces of all, most notably the Supremes and Their most confidential associates.
