In order to curb illegal mining activities in and around Barsana and Nand Gaon, a team of Regional Mining Department of UP Govt has been cracking down on illegal crushers for past two days by raiding crushers on Nand Gaon - Kosi Kalan road, Dhabala, Bhadokar, Mahrana etc.

The situation got worsen further when mining mafia attacked one such team. The team member had to flee the scene but later they again raided the crushers accompanied by a team of local police.

Then stern action has created a ripple of unrest among the mining mafia. UP govt action was triggered by the recent monumental step by Rajasthan Govt of protecting the holy mountains braj. This move of the authorities has been welcomed very much by the saathus and devotees all across the braj region.
